  1. Portion-Controlled Meals (and why they are so much better than fast food) Explained

We live in a day and age of hectic routines, grinding it out for hours at work, rushing from place to place and trying desperately to find (and appreciate!) the down-time in between.

Our to-do lists seem never-ending, and often it feels like there isn’t a minute to spare.

What does all that mean for our eating habits?

    It’s not great.

    The Stats

More than one-in-three Americans eat fast food on any given day, according to a survey published in October by the Centers of Disease Control & Analysis.

    One-in-three. That’s a lot of Americans -- and it’s troubling.

We busy, on-the-go Americans are looking for something convenient. What we’re finding is unhealthy habits that have lead to a statistic you’ve probably heard often: 39.8 percent of Americans are considered obese.

But what if there was something that offered that convenience, but was loaded with nutrition, controlled for portion, balanced for calories and still managed to taste great?

    Portion Controlled Meals
    The Answer

That’s the idea behind Diet-to-Go meals. They offer the convenience of fast food because they are delivered right to your door, but are nutritious, delicious and calorie-controlled to help you eat right and lose weight.*

Diet-to-Go has four different, chef-crafted menus to cater to whatever plan fits your needs and goals:

    • Balance: Calorie-controlled and nutritionally balanced, plus heart-healthy — controlled for sodium, carbs, fat and cholesterol.
    • Balance-Diabetes: Perfect choice for pre-diabetes or diabetes — controls blood sugar naturally, plus heart-healthy — controlled for sodium, carbs, fat and cholesterol. (Even if you’re not diabetic, can help you lose those last few pounds.)
    • Keto-Carb30: Carb-restricted plan; replaces carbs with fat and has only 30 net carbs per day, on average. Keto friendly! (Adding fruit, bread, sugar or other carbohydrates is not recommended.)
    • Vegetarian: Calorie-controlled and nutritionally balanced, plus heart-healthy — controlled for sodium,
carbs, fat and cholesterol. Protein sources include dairy, eggs, beans and some soy.

Meals are delivered anywhere right to your door in the continental U.S., or you can pick them up at a local health club partner in some cities.

Plus, there’s no contract and no obligations. You can start and stop any given week, depending on your schedule.

Don’t like a meal? You can substitute it out for something you do like.

Diet-to-Go also offers a team of health experts to help you stay on-track.

Its Facebook group connects you with people just like you, who get it and can offer support.

So, next time that temptation of fast and convenient is in front of you, consider this: Would you rather eat a greasy, high-calorie, unhealthy meal from the local drive-through, or something that will fill you up, tastes great and help you meet your weight loss goals?*

Yep, it’s a pretty easy choice.
