    It's National Frozen Food Month!!!!

Okay, so such a pronouncement isn't usually followed by wild cheers, fireworks or horns blowing, so you can all chill.

According to Forbes, National Frozen Food Month is an invention of the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association, a trade group that encourages the distribution of frozen food coupons in March.

Yes, it's basically an ad for companies who manufacture frozen foods.

But, it's also become a good time to take stock of what's lurking in your freezer -- and to do a bit of spring cleaning before replacing the bad with some good.

    • chicken nuggets
    • fish sticks
    • Eggo's
    • broccoli and cauliflower
    • black bananas (for banana bread)
    • Diet-to-Go low-fat meals

Much better than I anticipated. The nuggets are white meat and baked, not fried.
