  1. Overcoming Obstacles in Weight-Loss


    For many customers, figuring out how to overcome obstacles in weight-loss is one of the biggest challenges they face. Diet-to-Go makes the food part easy…but what if you’re faced with schedule changes? Vacation or work travel? Weight-loss plateaus? We have some suggestions!

    We assist many customers with customizing their plans to fit their schedules – want just lunch and dinner? Need a 5 day plan one week instead of 7 days? No problem – you can change your meal plan weekly with the click of a button. With no contracts or weekly requirements, it’s all up to you and your schedule!

    If you have a vacation or work travel planned, stopping and restarting your plan is easy with Menu Management – simply enter your stop date for when you will be leaving town, and then restart for when you get back. Imagine coming home from a trip to fully prepared, healthy, calorie-controlled meals. What could be better? 

    Finally, if your obstacle is a weight-loss plateau, think about what could be sabotaging your efforts – extra snacks, lack of sleep, or stress, could all be derailing your diet. Studies show that those who track their food intake lose up to twice as much weight over time (good-bye extra snacks!). 

    Did you know that lack of sleep causes an increase in ghrelin, the “hunger hormone?” While it can be difficult to do, try to get 6-8 hours of sleep each night. This usually means going to bed a little earlier and practicing good sleep habits like turning off screens an hour before bed, nixing caffeine after 4pm, and writing down any worries in a notebook beside your bed.

    Stress can also halt weight-loss efforts by signaling your body to hold on to extra calories. While we can’t totally get rid of stress, including stress-reducing practices in your daily routine, such as a few yoga poses, meditation, or deep-breathing exercises, can help.
