New and Nervous
Hi, all. My name is Stephanie and I just ordered my food for D2Go and will pick up tomorrow. I'm so excited and extremely nervous. I'm a Marine and just had a baby and have until the end of July to be back within height/weight standards. So I don't have time to be messing around. Unfortunately, I've wasted about two months trying other things and they just have not worked. I am praying that this works. I signed up for the traditional, 1600 calorie plan because I'm pretty active. Any advice, words of encouragement or kick in the pants would be greatly appreciated.

Hello!
I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself :) I'm Robin and I got my first shipment today! I am so excited to start this! I don't have a lot of weight to lose per se; I need help with not eating junk!! I figure by doing this, not only will I avoid the temptation to snack because I have a set meal plan, I will also avoid the supermarket all together and avoid the snack aisles.
I had a baby in August and the last ten pounds just will NOT go away. I even worked out with a trainer for a month last month...it didn't help that he put me on a rediculously strict diet that I could not and would not follow. All I have to show for it is a depleted bank account and a little bit of knowledge of how to use weights in the gym.
Hopefully this will be a great start for me! Keep us updated on your progress and I will do the same!
Hello Robin!
Diet-to-Go is a great way to keep you on course and away from junk. Let me know how you fare taking off those last tough 10 pounds... Good luck with the weight and with the youngster!
Good luck Stephanie -- you'll do just fine with Diet-to-Go
By the time July rolls around you should be in fine form. You're gonn a love this diet because it isn't like any other diet you may have tried. It's simply eating good foods -- foods prepared by your very own "personal chef."
You keep active and we'll keep cookin' -- and you'll enjoy the results!
How many pounds are you trying to drop?
Oh, and congrats on the baby!
Thanks for the encouragement.
Thanks. I'm trying to lose about 45 lbs. It's going to be tough but I want to do it the right way, eating good food and exercising. I tried Nutrisystem. That was horrible. The "food" was like military MRE's. Gross. I had to send it back after a day. LOL. I pick up my first meals tomorrow and I'm really excited.
You've made a good decision
Nutrisystem gets by on a lower price and their glut of commercials. Our food runs circles around theirs. 45 pounds is a bunch but you can do well if you turn up the heat with your exercise program.
Let me know how you like our food! And let me know how we can help you in any other way -- I have a small army of experts who can possibly help you with fitness and motivation stuff.
The food is AWESOME!!
You were definitely right about the food. I have been so impressed with the quality of food. It looks great, tastes even better and comes with everything I need. I don't do my first weigh-in until Tuesday so hopefuly that will show a difference.
So glad to hear it!
I honestly love this food so I figured you would too! Have a great Easter weekend and let me know how you do on your first weigh-in!
Down SIX pounds!!
I can't even believe it. I'm absolutely stunned. I was even on the 1600 calorie (because I'm breastfeeding). I changed it to 1200 for this week because I was afraid I hadn't lost anything. We'll see how that goes. Thanks for the response. Really appreciate it.
super news stephanie!
keep up the goods work -- don't drop too low on the calories or you'll risk your body going into "starvation moder" and your metabolism will slow rather than speed up.
keep us informed!
Rethinking 1200
I'm going to see how this week goes on 1200 and decide this weekend. I've also started training for the marathon so I don't think 1200 will be enough. We'll see.
1200 is not even close to enough if you are seriously training
in fact... you may want to go 1600 and add in some healthy snacks. the last thing you want to do is to hurt your health -- and that's what you'll do at such a low calorie count.
stick with 1600 and see how it goes. i think you'll need more, but get started with 1600.
Good luck!
I think you're right.
I'm going to go back to 1600 calories for next week. The Marathon isn't until October so I'm in the very early stages of my training. So my mileage isn't very high right now -- 3/4 miles four times a week and then a long run, 5/6 miles. And I strength train twice a week. So I think you're right 1600 calorie meals with a few healthy snacks will be just about right.
6 Pound Loss-- Great!
This is great---what did you do besides eat 1600 calories?
Nothing.
I was supposed to start marathon training last week but was too busy at work (and too lazy to be honest). So exercise-wise, i didn't do anything. This week though, I have started marathon training and going to a strength training class twice a week.
wow... you are dedicated to succeed
you should see the pounds evaporate in no time. be careful and don't overdo. i can link you up with my friend, a total wellness guru who has a great fitness bacckground too.
