What is the best way to heat the fresh local delivery meals?

  • Keep all meals refrigerated.
  • Many breakfasts and lunches are designed to be served cold, although quite a few of the items may be heated. These include muffins, bagels, breads, pastas, and of course, the pancakes and waffles. We have found the muffins stay moist if wrapped in a damp paper towel while being microwaved for 10-15 seconds, or use a conventional or toaster oven.
  • Most lunches and dinners are served in microwavable/oven safe black containers.
  • The clear/hinged containers are not designed to be used in a microwave/oven.
  • When microwaving, vent black containers by lifting one corner and heat for 2-4 minutes. You may need to stir or turn container for even heating.
  • Remove bread before microwaving. Heat breads and rolls separately for 10-15 seconds as described above for the muffins, or heat in conventional or toaster oven.
  • If using a conventional or toaster oven, you may transfer food to another oven safe dish before heating. Cover with foil and heat for approximately 15 minutes at 325º F.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Microwaves and conventional ovens vary a great deal in temperature, so adjust your heating times accordingly.
