Diet-to-Go chooses the highest quality producers when sourcing its foods. Read more about our featured producers:
Corto Olive Company – this company has roots in Italy, but started producing olive oil in California in the 1920s, when consistent, good quality olive oil was hard to find in the United States. The Cortopassi family used a growing method called “Super-High Density” to ensure the consistent, fresh-tasting production of extra-virgin olive oil. Because we prepare our meals from scratch, olive oil is an important ingredient for roasting meats and vegetables, making salad dressings, and more.
Logan Sausage – this is a local, family-owned business located in Alexandria, Virginia. Diet-to-Go uses Logan Sausage because they pride themselves on using the highest quality lean meat. All of the fresh sausages from Logan are free of preservatives, MSG, and nitrates. The chefs and nutritionist at Diet-to-Go have worked with Logan Sausage to reduce the sodium in the products we buy while still maintaining great taste. Logan Sausages can be found in meals such as Andouille Sausage (Carb 30 meal plan), Italian Meatballs on Fettucini (Balance meal plan) and more.
Great Harvest – another local company that is proud to say that their bread making process is “long.” No shortcuts, like additives, are used to speed up the process. Instead, Balance methods result in natural flavors and textures that develop over time. Great Harvest also grinds premium whole-wheat kernels into fresh, 100% whole-wheat flour every day to add to the nutrients, fiber and freshness of their rolls and breads. An example of an exceptional product – both taste and nutrition-wise – is the Honey Wheat Roll, found in the Balance meal plan, with just 5 ingredients (house-milled whole-wheat flour, water, yeast, salt and local honey).
Certified Angus Been Company –consists of a collection of family ranchers dedicated to producing beef that is held up to 10 quality standards. Since we serve customers all over the country, we think it’s cool that the ranchers come from all over the US too. Read about ranchers’ family stories.
Coleman Natural Foods – the chicken breast and turkey meat that we use in our meal plans comes from Coleman Natural Foods, a pioneer in the “no antibiotics ever” part of a legacy of quality that dates back to 1875. The Coleman Natural products contain no nitrates/nitrites or other chemical preservatives, no MSG, and no synthetic flavors or colors, providing better nutrition and better taste!
