    Meat-free and Tasty

    The Diet-to-Go Vegetarian menu is a great option for people looking for a delicious variety of restaurant quality, meat-free meals. Meals on this plan are Lacto-Ovo (contain dairy & eggs) and include a perfect balance of carbs, proteins, fiber and fat, similar to our Balance menu.

    The Vegetarian menu is diabetic-friendly and customers report losing between one and four pounds per week while on this meal plan.

    The Diet-to-Go Vegetarian menu provides a variety of meals containing all the proper and necessary nutrition. Meals include: Stuffed Shells and Shepherds Pie for dinner, Quinoa Salad and Grilled Veggie Burrito for lunch, and Waffles and Ratatouille Omelet for breakfast. Fish dishes may also be substituted from the Balance plan for those who like to have fish every now and then.

    The Vegetarian meal plan is rich in vegetables, fruits, beans and whole grains. Out of all of the Diet-to-Go meal plans, the Vegetarian plan contains the most fiber.

    Fiber Fast Facts

    • Fiber slows the rate that sugar is absorbed into the bloodstream. When you eat foods high in fiber, such as beans and whole grains, the sugar in those foods is absorbed slower, which keeps your blood glucose levels from rising too fast.
    • Fiber satisfies. When you eat whole grains rich in insoluble fiber, it moves faster through your intestines, which can help signal that you are full.
    • Fiber cleans your colon. The scrub-brush effect of fiber helps clean out bacteria and other buildup in your intestines, and reduces your risk for colon cancer.
    • Fiber keeps you regular. A high-fiber diet helps you have soft, regular bowel movements, reducing constipation.
    • Fiber lowers cholesterol. Studies also show that fiber may have other heart-healthy benefits, such as reducing blood pressure and inflammation.
