I have diabetes, can Diet-to-Go work for me?

Yes. The 1200-calorie Traditional Low-Fat meal plan follows the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society and US Department of Agriculture’s guidelines for cholesterol, sodium and fat.

The 1600-calorie Traditional Low-Fat meal plan follows the American Diabetes Association recommended carbohydrate level of 45-50% of calories on average over the 5 week plan. We can work with you further to adjust the carbs per meal if needed.

According to research, losing just 5-7% of your body weight can reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes by over 50%. Researchers from the Diabetes Prevention Program, the largest diabetes research trial in the US, found that in the group assigned to weight loss and exercise, there were 58% fewer cases of diabetes after almost three years than in the group assigned to usual care.

You can also take advantage of Diet-to-Go’s new Wellness Trackers to track your food, exercise and weight, and use Diet-to-Go’s online forums to connect you with others on the same journey, get expert advice and share tips.
